M.F. (Falious) Harris and wife, Evie built this cabin about 1900 and established their home in True, WV. Mr. Harris cut the timber, hand hewed and scored the logs.
A granddaughter, Edith Boyer and her husband Dan, felt they should save and keep the cabin in the community. With their donation and assistance of the Pipestem Foundation, the cabin was relocated to Pipestem in 1996.
Reconstruction of this farmstead can serve as a historical testimony to the hardy Summers County families who carved out their existance in the early 1900s.
