I remembered seeing this one when I noticed your posting for today; it as one that I'd intended to come back and comment on. Orchids make for an interesting subject in that they have a way of just slicing through all three dimensions to make their presence felt, and this is no exception. Though it's far from a "hard" or "sharp" image; quite the contrary. If I had to pick a word it would be "subtle", not only in the tonal transitions (yes, there's a distinct halo of light around the petals but even that seems to "blend" rather than cut, just more rapidly than the rest of the image), but also in the texture of the petals. Very nicely done.
