There's a bit of an older fashioned feel to this shot; the mono, the boxes in good condition despite the infrequency of snail mail these days, the architecture of the porch; it could easily pass for a 60's shot. It may also have to do with the "closeness" of everything; the boxes feel close to the fence feels close to the tree feels not so very far away from the house feels close to the other building which in turn feels close to the other trees. Almost speaks of a more tightly bound community than you find today.

It looks like about 6" snow. We have the same mailboxes in our townhouse development. Beautiful B&W photo with all the snow-covered trees.
