Passageway

West Virginia

Tech notes: Mamiya RB67 with 90mm C lens. Kodak TMAX 400. Developed in Kodak TMAX developer, 7 minutes at 72F. I wanted to give this a little push because it was a high contrast scene and I keep forgetting to expose for the shadows because I've shot digital so long and you always expose for the highlights. With film, you don't blow the highlights but you can lose shadow detail. Anyway, it did seem to work because the shadows did come up a little. I could have pushed it more I think. It's also not very sharp so I could have focused better or focused on the shed in front since the depth of field changes so dramatically when you extend the bellows.

I'm loving your images and tech notes - learning so much too and a little sad that I have missed out on the darkroom experience.

I think that shadow detail is excellent here and that the exposure is perfectly balanced between the high and the shadows. I always admire how well you are using your equipment although it is not the easier one. V

Well composed and a good range of tones. I like how you can see the fence even in the darkness of the wheelbarrow. V
