"In Memory" by David J. Yanowich

Colorado USA

This was the last picture I have of my brother David. A self-portrait I found on his hard drive... a test shot for the upcoming ID card season he took with a Kodak DVC-325 video camera. The pancreas cancer had migrated to his liver by this time... 7 mos. later he left us. His expression says it all. I miss him. Tomorrow, April 24th will be 5 yrs. since his passing. - Albert

So it's getting to be that time in April and I was missing my old buddy, and I was listening to Pandora Radio and Elton John started singing "Your Song" which always reminded me of your dear brother David. And I thought gee, maybe there's something in his memory on the Internet. Thank you Bert. Thank you more than you know. If it's ok I would treasure a copy of this. I miss him so much -- Lisa Burns (lisone@bresnan.net)

Thanks you two. I guess I don't remember you mentioning that to me Shelby... and I'm sorry. It's a terrible disease as we all know... hopefully soon... we'll be able to stop it. I guess posting his photos is a needed healing process for me... helps me a lot to do so. He'd have been so tickled with our digital advancements now:) - Albert

Hi Albert,
I couldn't say it better than Flick. It has also touched me deeply as I lost my youngest brother to cancer a little over 5 years ago.
Kindest regards,
Shelby

Very poignant and a fitting tribute. Beautiful looking guy.
You've processed this very sensitively.
Big hug to you and yours for tomorrow.
