Nice lighting - gives depth to the egg and certainly couldn't be mistaken for a ping pong ball. I like this the best of your "unusual" pictures.

The egg is from a Marans hen. The color is natural. The speckles happen from time to time. The saturation was set at 35 in ACR, which is close to the Product Look in Photodesk. I will be happy with this egg if no one mistakes it for a ping-pong ball. - Warren

What type of egg is this?? Was the saturation bumped up on a brown egg? The texture is different now. Well, now I compare it to the moon, it would have to be a lunar eclipse. Maybe now it looks more like Mars. Maybe it's a raging bull... :) --Kim

Brown is better, I think, as white looked a little like a ping pong ball. This says "egg" to me :-) - Quentin

I replaced the white egg with a brown one. - Warren

That's okay, Jono, we'll eggscuse you.
Flick.

I'm really not eggstatic about all this eggcentricity. I know it's eggciting taking egg photos I'm eggstremely egged off as I thought it was my area eggsclusively.
Nice Shot Warren . . . . and sorry everyone :-)
Kind Regards Jono

Maybe the theme should have been "eggs" :-) Anyway its a fun image with hidden meanings, maybe conflict between your male and female side? - Quentin
kodak_challenge12-Jan-2005 08:29
Well, this does really convey a sense of energy! But what could the hidden symbolism be...a black angus tosses the moon like a soccer ball? A bullish stock market takes control of it's own future? Add a Barbie doll and some flowers, and it could be "Europa"...(;-) --Kim

It's an egg. Last week, I tried a tennis ball, but it wouldn't stay on. Quentin inspired me to use an egg. I admit it's not as good as the bocket rottle, but it was an awful lot more work. - Warren

Oh no! The rottle-bocket is gone now! (Though this is nice, too.) --Kim

Is that an egg or a ping pong ball? Did you know that B.F. Skinner once trained a pair of pigeons to play ping pong? (Perhaps not Olympic level, but quite competent players I'm told.) Better pigeons than bulls. And this is a fun image, Warren. DF
