I took this over 30 years ago but scanned it only recently. Also recently, I read an excellent book about the Hollywood glamor photographer, Hurrell. I was impressed by the way Hurrell broke all the rules with often glorious results. And, of course, Hurrell was an expert at retouching. This conjunction of events inspired me to do a little Photoshop processing on my old photo to get a more Hurrell-like skin tonality along with deep shadows. I intended to leave a little more skin texture than Hurrell usually did, but with the image reduced so much, the skin texture has gotten mushy. Other than that, I think it's a creditable approximation to a Hurrell portrait on one of his less inspired and less-rule-breaking days. I'm looking forward to doing some Hollywood style portraits with the 14n just as soon as I can persuade some Hollywood star to model for me. :-)
