Ely - The Octagon - by Quentin Bargate

Ely

I spent the whole afternoon trying to get these shots of Ely. All were taken using the Kodak 14nx in longer mode. Where are the tourists? They move too fast to register most of the time!

The intense color in the ceiling skylight contrasts well against the greyer walls, but is balanced at the bottom by the golden organ. Great detail! A fresh look at Gothic style! --Kim

I'm not sure. You still get the same effect with moving water as if it was one exposure. But I think there is blending going on. Try it, it works :-) Quentin

These are great Quentin - I was going to take the dog out and try a little 'longer' mode today - but it's dismal, grey and rainy. When you use this mode, is it really one loooong exposure - or does it take a series of exposures and then 'blend' them (that's what it sounds like).
