"On The Wings of a Swan" by Paul Rohal

Botanic Gardens

Tried to find a shape that resembled something. Couldn't make up my mind. A set of swans wings or a butterfly undergoing a tragic metamorphosis.

I agree this is very nice, like a soft pencil drawing with a bit of colour. Don't forget the competition will be closed midday GMT Monday (unless I've forgotten my own rules, which is always more than possible ;-) so if you want to resize, you'll have to get cracking!
Flick.

Thanks Warren. I'll try to get off my lazy butt this weekend and finish this one properly. It was late last night and I was just too tied to finish it of right.

I've done shots similar to this dozens of times and never gotten one quite this good. The color/grayscale effect works very well here. It would be nice for you to post a larger copy of the image, though, up to 800 pixels on a side or 200K. - Warren Sarle
