These are the same images that are presented in my main galleries but here they are sorted into separate galleries according to lens rather than topic. This may assist those that are shopping for a particular lens and wish to view some sample images taken with the lens on a 1.6 crop factor (Canon D60) and a 1.3 crop factor (Canon 1D). Most images added after November 2004 are full-frame (Canon 1DsMk2 or a Canon 5D).

So far, I've only looked at your lens gallery. I must say that I found it most uplifting.
Why?
Because it clearly illustrates that a good photographer is a good photographer with any lens he chooses!

This is a comment about all of your galleries...I LOVE YOUR STYLE!!!..I am trying to decide on an all around lense for travel..this helped a lot...thanks

Hi Duc,

For my samples of these lenses, there is no question, optically the 24-70/2.8L is superior to the 24-105/4.0L IS (aperature to aperature). However, you cannot disregard the effect of image stabilization in real-life situations such that the 24-105/4.0L may be the ultimate winner. Even though the 24-70L is better at f/4 and f/5.6 in a comparable zoom range, the fact is that for a majority of lighting situations the 24-105L can be used at handheld shutter speeds in it's sweet-spot aperature range (f/8 and f/11) whereas the 24-70L can't.

I think that the 24-70/2.8L challenges Canon's prime lenses in it's zoom range and could easily act as a substitute "prime". The 24-105/4.0L IS will always be the daylight hand-held champion because you'll tend to always be in the aperature sweet spot. They are both excellent zoom lenses.

Thank you for visiting and commenting on my galleries, Yainnis. I think that post process sharpening is a matter of taste (and this taste can also be influenced by the quality and type of monitor the viewer is using). In these lens galleries I have tried to keep post process sharpening to a minimum deliberately but this may be over-cautious particularly with resized images. Even though Photoshop and RAW processing can do wonderful things, I do like to know the limitations and quality of my lenses. Try sharing and trading lenses with your friends - you may be quite surprised at the variation that you experience.

nice gallery from all those lenses i likethe 135 l and the 80-200 , but i noticed that you dont do a lot of editing and there is not complete sharpness either , with the today programs you dont really care if a lense is good or not because there is room to fix anything , thank you.
