A stroll up the road from Lance Cove where four wrecks sunk from World War II U-boat submarine attacks rust in the bay. Sixty nine seamen lost their lives in the attacks. Lance Cove on Bell Island was the only place in North America to take a direct hit from a torpedo fired by a Nazi U-boat in World War II.
