These are from the new Georgia Aquarium. All shot with Canon 20D and 24-70L. The big challenge with this is the havic the Acrylic of the various tanks plays with the camera optics. Some tanks were hard to get a good shot even when manually focusing, due to the distortion the tank caused to the camera optics.
Since these were real tough to get good shots I did not do much post processing on these. These are more "vaction" mode shots.
As for the Aquarium.. well.. it is a bit crowded even off hours, I suspect peak times are horrible. Expect to wait in line to see each and every exhibit. There are 4 large exhibits then a smaller "hands on" exhibit. Personally, I think they over hyped the place. The biggest atractions are the Whale Sharks and the Beluga Whales, which aren't bad. If this truly is the biggest aquarium in the world then I hate to see some of the other runner ups. The layout creats a swirl of people in the center as there is really not a logical flow other than a simple natural clockwise or counter-clockwise sensation. For photographers it is a nightmare, the tanks will cause havic with optics and most tanks are dimly lit.
