The nest outside our work we've been watching for 2 weeks has produced 2 chicks, and maybe 1 more. Today was the first time anyone has seen them. Not sure if it's really visible here, but the little one is at aout 8pm on the clock. Can see the little closed eye lid, and the strong light in front of it's open beak makes it almost transparent. The sun surrounded the legs on the mother, it's not artifical haloing.
Manual all the way on this, even the really great focus on this lens was no match for in your face sun and all the Japenese maples. That lens is great, but I held it almost completely upright for 20 minutes and my arms are screaming :)
