I probably don't have to tell anyone how much fun this sidewalk was on Friday; came out of it with sopping sneakers and a big smile on my face.

Think I've lost a fair amount of photos unless someone can tell me how to recover from a 'data error, cyclic redundancy check' that I keep getting on one of the CD's I burned. Help !?! Have spent the last 3 hours beating on my computer, moving 30 gig from one drive to another and finally figuring out I had a (hopefully only 1) bad disk. Urgh!

Uploaded half of the travelling Mickeys-they were so much fun. Hope to get the rest up tomorrow-tell me your favorite :)

Looks fun. Less so the disk problem. I've posted on the PaD forum for advice on archiving - might be worth you posting for advice on recovery. You access through a link on the PaD photo page.

Or would it be the other way around? I like the cherry blossoms they are so cloud like when they're in bloom. Sounds like you might be getting some help from others here on your error. Let me know how it works or doesn't work.

It's a high-water time of year. I've never had a disk fail completely although I've had some that would play one one machine but not another. It's always a worry.

Beautiful shot Karen - your capture of the blossoms is incredible. I can't believe that's a sidewalk - ot looks like beach, it's so wet!
Your CD disaster sounds terrible. I backup to DVD mainly and only make one copy and I would apoplectic if I got the type of error messages you are. I can only suggest trying someone else's system to open them - or try 'Googling" the error message itself. Failing that, i guess there are commercial outfits that do data recovery. I'd be interested to know how you made out. :o)

First, a really lovely photo. I like the comp and the colors.
Second, search for .tiff or .jpg or whatever your photos were stored at in your search function. If you're lucky you may find your shots in a hidden temp file.
