March 25th

Whew!
365 days ago, the thought that I might be able to take a picture like this would have left me ROFLMAO. The year PaDding has taught me so much-mostly by looking and studying all the wonderful pictures here. For that, and your friendships, I thank you-and that doesn't begin to express my gratitude.

Happy Birthday Dad! (The standard warning-not my computer or monitor so I'm not sure how this really looks.)

I agree with the Hemingway references, it was my thought as well before reading any comments. This is a superb capture that you should always be proud to look at and show your family members. It honors your father well. Congrats on your year, and don't wander off now that your a Super Star! :)

Karen, this is just great. I can see the family resemblence, too! As for the photo, I first thought it reminded me of Ernest Hemmingway for some reason. Your father is very photogenic. I like how you put the light behind him, and captured some cigar smoke as well. There's actually nothing I would change about this picture. Oh -- and happy birthday, Karen's Dad! :-)
