Engine 34's station mirrors architecture of Engine 36 as well as Engine 15's former house on Amherst Street. Engine 34 is one of the most well kept firehouses in the city.
She protects the Parkside community along with the University District. She is also one of the busiest companies in the 7th Battalion. Engine 34's quarters are having an addition put on to house Ladder 7. When this construction is completed in Fall 2005, Engine 24, Ladder 7 will close it's 120+ year old station on Leroy Avenue at Halbert. Engine 24 will be stricken from the roster and Ladder 7 will be moved to these new quarters.
