Jenn, I think you made a mistake. The South Buffalo Charter School was originally PS #29. After the school closed it was home to a community theater and the police department used some of the space after they moved from precinct 15. Then it became the charter school. Thats the way I remember anyway

The caption on this picture is wrong. This particular building was indeed a fire station, however the original precinct 15 was farther up South Park in the building that is now known as the South Buffalo Charter School. That precinct closed and was relocated to the South park Avenue and Southside Parkway split.

The front portion where Precinct 15 occupies was actually the quarters for Engine 30. When it was decided that the Buffalo Police needed a presence in the area, the Engine 30 quarters were moved to the Whitfield Street side. This station was closed when Precinct 9 at Seneca Street and Southside were merged into the South District, "A" District in the mid-1990's.
