Frank's Casa Nova

2210 Bailey Ave. Buffalo

This was a strip joint on Buffalo's East Side. They used to have a stripper in one of the windows as a come-on; as a small boy I remember being intrigued with the feather boas.

9-07 note: This building is now gone, being demolished in August 2007.

I am the daughter of one of the singers Bobby Rose and dancers Marilyn Miller. I am looking for pictures and any memorabilia of my parents. Or maybe some memories of them? Plz contact me @ sweetigerzz@aol.com. Thank u :)

I remember Franks very well as an under age drinker going in there to check out the girls. One Saturday night I remeber a transexual sitting at the bar with a guy who was obviously blitzed out of his mind it was probably around 1974. I still wonder to this day what happend when that poor guy got the surprise of his life when he saw the beans and franks pop out of "her" pants

When I turned 18 in 1968 I went there on New Year's eve. The strippers were old, overweight, and rather undesirable. But it always had the reputation of being a hot, classy joint!
