Originally built in 1914 as the Sattler (by the same Sattler that opened Sattler's Department Store further out Broadway-998.) Around 1920 it was renamed the Broadway.

Recently, I meet 2 of the gentlemen who are planning on restoring this magnificent theatre. I wish them the best of luck on their venture.

Cannot count the number of times I've been to this theater. My mom used to take me here every week end, since movies was a big thing then.... Saw all the early Bond flicks here, also Jerry Lewis movies, Imitation of Life, Backstreet, Peyton Place, Bridge Over the River Kwai....
A double feature was about thirty-five cents
