It might have been Mr.Lang's, back in the mid to late sixties when my neighbor made me take her to see a drummer she had a crush on. He played in a group called Barbara St. Clair and the Pinkooshin's (I think that's how they spelled it). Anyway, it was a basement club, and it was TINY. The erudite would have called it "intimate." I think after that, it may have been called "Dirty Dick's Bathhouse," and then it became the original Tralfamadore Cafe, around 1975, but by then, my bar days had drawn to a close. No regrets, save one.
