I now live in beautiful Lake Tahoe, but my husband and I have much affection for Buffalo. Great people. Still have family there and try to viist every few years. It was a wonderful place to grow up. Was raised in East Lovejoy, went to school 43 and Kensington HS. Husband was raised near Delavan Avenue and his mother was a teacher and his Dad a police officer. Loved the close knit neighborhoods, the food, Crystal Beach, Sattler's, Delaware Park, going downtown on the street cars. We certainly got a good education. Tim Russert's book and City of Lights are must reads for anyone raised in Buffalo.

I remember taking the bus downtown#16 and going to Kleinhans with my mom to buy a special coat! The money would fly over your head!

Woolworth's had a deli-restaurant that sold the best fried chicken...better than KFC.
We used to buy it and eat it at the bus stop..... LOL!
