The Teck Theater originally opened in 1883 as a music hall, which burned in 1885. It was rebuilt as pictured and survived as a theater until 1935 when it was closed.

In 1942 remodeling began, which included the removal of the massive facade, along with auditorium rebuilding, and reopened as a theater in 1946. It survived until the early 1980's, when everything but the facade was demolished, and the facade finally was demolished in 1992.
