Ray,
The Lion performs a dance in front of each restaurant
and then eats the cabbage that hang in the front door.
That should bring good fortune to the owner, I guess.
(I don't know too much about the Chinese customs).
I was just in that restaurant and was drinking some Sake.

Happy New Year! It's my year, I'm a dog...(not that I should be bragging about that). VERY cool shot, love the motion and the sharp focus on the cabbage- really intriquing- hope you had great sake!

Awesome!!! I would have focused on the lion but you focused on the cabbage,which makes the traditional Lion Dance much more unique. Love the blur of the lion. So dynamic. Bravo,Kim. BTW,Happy New Year to you. :)

I had seen a lot of pictures from this event (Hongkong, Paris...) this evening - this is serious! the unique and IMO the best one!
