the Galah Cacatua assimilis is confined to Western Australia and has a pinker crest;
pale grey eye-ring; and whiter rump and tail than the nominate race roseicapilla
which has a whitish crown and crest; and deep red eye-ring. It is found in pairs
to very large flocks and considered a pest in grain crops,
haystacks and domestic fruit or nut trees.
