This is where I met my husband of 44 years . They had just started hiring girls to pump gas and check under the hood and I was one of the first 4 hired. Leonard was am MP dog handler who garded the missle site and he was working part time at the station . That ws in 1967 . I later became assistant manager so Leonard had to quit working there . I worked there until it closed . They offered to send me to Manager school but I would have to move to somewhere else when I graduated and Leonard was out of the army by then and was an officer with the MWPD so that ended my carreer .
