National stadium

Built for the 2012 European Football Cup, among big controversy and various random accusations, sadly so typical for my great nation.
It is a great sight, both inside and from the outside. It is a multi purpose stadium, which has hosted football games, concerts,
trade fairs, and most exotically, a competition in windsurfing.

An interesting little tidbit I learned during the guided tour is about the randomly changing red and grey seats.
The point of this is for empty (=unsold) seats not to be so obvious on TV.

people love sports and large scale events, so a large stadium does serve a public purpose...admire your artistic view of the place so such...hard to imagine windsurfing here though..

Great composition, the seat story: almost like "Potiomkin Village" of our times. BV
