An excellent perspective of this town to capture the bridge, river and surrounding buildings.V

I thought this bridge was destroyed. SO glad to see it back. I remember it well and how wonderful it was to walk across such an old bridge. I suppose it was much easier to rebuild it with modern technology. In it's day, it was quite an impressive feat to build a bridge that lasted - what - 200 years?

This rebuilt bridge is very beautiful. It was sadly famous during the Bosnian war. Great composition. V

Beautiful photo, pity it's only the replica, I saw the original before that war. V.

yes, this 16th century bridge was shot up to pieces during the Bosnian war in the nineties - it fell down into the river. Rebuilt in 2004 with international aid money. Some original pieces were recovered from the river by Hungarian army divers.
