040717 Clams

Beck and I went to Hug Point State Park which is on 101 N between Nehalem and Seaside. While we were walking on the beach I came across this small log which was covered with clams. While I was working with the photo I discovered that the clams necks are actually coming out of the clams.

This is a great shot, Katie. I love the way that photography, and especially digital photography, has allowed us to learn so much more about nature. I know the general area you visited today and remember it as so beautiful.
