Frederiksberg Cemetery is a green space in the heart of Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, and the oldest cemetery in the area, established in 1734 under Christian the 6th.

The full name in Danish is 'Frederiksberg Ældre Kirkegård'.

Opened in 1865, it's not just a resting place but also a quiet spot for people to take a break from the city's busy life.

Also see: The Palm House, Botanical Gardens - Pentax K10D & Carl Zeiss 35mm f/2.

The cemetery is home to old trees, well-kept paths, and benches where visitors can sit and reflect.

Many well-known Danes, including artists and writers, are buried here, making it a place of history as well as tranquility.

People often stroll through to enjoy the calm surroundings, watch the changing seasons, or pay their respects. Whether you're looking to explore a bit of local history or just seeking a peaceful walk, Frederiksberg Cemetery offers a quiet retreat.
