It might be interesting for the viewers to know that the name "Valasht" is the local and geographical word for the lake. But, there is a more spoken language name for it, called: "Samaa Lake" which in phonetics will be " sæmʌ leɪk " It was going to be the first "Woodstock" in Iran late 70s. During 1978 and 1979, Pink Floyd planned to do an International Concert nearby the Iran's first Woodstock, the Samaa Lake!!! But, because of the dramatic change of Iran's political atmosphere, it has been cancelled!!

This is one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. Several years ago I and some other friends camped nearby this lake for two weeks. It was wonderful. The moonlight was indescribable, some early mornings, the fog covered the lake-wow unspeakable view. Ali, you know what I mean! You chose and shot one of the most beautiful and purest parts of the nature! Well Done Mr. Majdfar.

It is indeed beautiful. But it is so hard to get to so I've been there only once years ago though we regularly visit nearby Kelardasht. Good picture.
