Ever since the "chick movie," I've wanted to try fried green tomatoes. I can't even imagine what they taste like. The closest thing to that in my background is pickled green tomatoes. They are SO sour! LOL Great picture!

Hmmmm... I don't like tomatoes, but I have never had these, and they look like they could be good. Especially dipped in all that ranch!

This is my family recipe (not how southerners do it):Slice green tomatoes thin, dredge in flour, fry in vegetable shortening til golden on each side, put on paper towel to soak up the grease, salt, eat. Southerners cut the tomato thick and use breading, then deep fry them and they serve them with a kind of sauce that I can't identify. I've learned to like them either way...
