turtle. with reflection

Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge

This turtle suns itself on the same log, it seems, everyday. I see
it in the same place when I visit the refuge.

this turtle looks so proud, head held high paddling off into the water. i really enjoy this image and think the hint of reflection in the water is just great! the sticks going into the water seem to point in the direction the turtle's swimming, which worked out well for the shot, giving the image a feeling of "flow" that's mirrored in the face that the image is largely water. very natural picture.
