Wow. He looks very thick too! That is a great capture of this huge snake.
Claude Gagnon15-Apr-2013 13:18
I do too, but it's a great shot :)))

I also hate all snakes - even tiny garter snakes that are found around here make me go the other way quickly.
Raymond15-Apr-2013 11:49
I hate them too, but this one doesn't seem very scary, Like Mike H. bellow, a triangular head or rattlers instantly makes me run the other way ,,, But I would grab this one either. That being said ... this is a very beautiful shot and you were lucky to even see it!

Fabulous find, Jim! Nothing to be afraid of with this guy. He'd be gone in an instant if you got too close.
Gary Hudes15-Apr-2013 02:50
Amazing how this snake blends in to the surroundings! Great image, Jim, and one that had to be well seen by you!
Kevin Warren15-Apr-2013 01:03
Wow Jim, that is a really big snake and a mighty fine photo! I do know that feeling, not sure I'd be able to hold the camera steady!
Mike H.15-Apr-2013 00:50
That didn't stop you from making a fine portrait of it..
I'm sitting in your same row on that, Jim -- especially if they have
triangular heads and/ or tail rattles!!
Hank Vander Velde15-Apr-2013 00:47
Well you got a nice shot of it anyway Jim.
