The crowd in the hotel lounge (thankfully, at a decent hour this time) watching the final match. Although they appear pretty mellow in this pic, they did get pretty loud and excited when something happened. Me, I just can't get into watching soccer...It was more fun watching the crowd.

Strangely enough, this is the second time I've been in a country the moment they won the World Cup. The last time was exactly 20 years ago (1982), when Italy won (over Germany also, as I recall...how strange). The Italians got REALLY crazy...way more than what I saw in Manaus (but Manaus is NOT Rio or Sao Paulo, where they went totally NUTS).
