One of the things I like about photographing the birds in the yard is being able to catch them in so many different poses.
Like in my last post, it's always tempting to impute human actions and words to what they do. Many times the comical comes first to mind.
This one can be imagined to be asking, 'what's going on down there?', or maybe inviting one to observe his hairdo.
Whatever, all puffed out and looking as he does is a picture that shows him in something other than a simple 'bird guide' pose.
I think that helps us have a little extra appreciation for what he is.
