These birds are quite common flitting about on the rocks along the coastline at Crescent City. At first, used to what I see at home, I thought they were juncos.
Even after viewing with the bino's, I couldn't be sure but a good photo makes the difference. Like most of the photos from this trip, this is a small crop.
Even so, the sharpness of this lens allows a very presentable picture.
