I remember those snapping turtles, they are mean little suckers. Your right Ling Cod aren't that bad to eat. Most people enjoy halibut more, but it nice to mix things up once in awhile with something different. Ling cod, snaper, or some other type of seafood. The weather is rotten around here, but we eat well anyway.

Brian, thanks for the bio and the wonderful photos. The landscape looks breathtaking.
I hope your efforts will spur others to get out and take some new snapshots!
Thanks again for all the vintage photos as well. I am hopeful that others will
start to contribute soon. By the way, your photo of "codzilla" is one of the most
viewed in this gallery. When I see the photo it reminds me of a patient I had in
Minnesota who had part of a finger crushed by a snapping turtle. When I asked him
what he was doing hunting snapping turtles he looked at me quizzically and after a
short silence stated emphatically, "well...good eatin'!!!". I guess it is the same
story for ling cod...look kind of prehistoric, but good eatin'! Best, Tom
