photo take at The Acropolis, Athens in 2007
Hello from Texas!
It truly can't be 30 years already…..!! I graduated from UW-Madison in August 1982 with a BA
in Radio/TV/Film production, and moved to the Dallas, TX area in January 1983 to seek my fame
and fortune in my major area of study. So much for that plan! I haven't yet worked in the industry,
but I am still in Dallas (actually Irving) 25 years later! Through several twists
and turns, I ended up in the world of REO (foreclosed) properties and have been in this industry
since 1987. I am currently a Sales Manager for Fannie Mae (the Federal National Mortgage Association)
and have been with them for the past 11 1/2 years. I manage a team of 10 Sales Representatives,
two Closers and a Repair Analyst. With the huge rise in foreclosures, we are kept really busy
selling the houses!! On the personal side, I have been married for almost 18 1/2 years to Becky
Kennedy of Dallas. Marrying a Texas native makes me a naturalized Texan (or so they say). No kids,
but we have a 7 year old Sheltie (Bradaigh - pronounced Brady) and two three year old cats (Nikita & Bernie).
My parents are still living in Thiensville and we have seven nieces and nephews ranging in age
from 5 - 15 who all live in the Milwaukee area. We get up there to visit at least every other Christmas.
In 2007, my wife and I took our first two week international vacation (not counting Mexico and Canada)
and visited Greece, along with her brother and our sister-in-law. We had a great time visiting Athens
and the wonders of the Acropolis. We then took the hydrofoil ("highspeed") to Mykonos where we celebrated
my 48th birthday in grand style. We also took the highspeed to Naxos, Amorgos and Santorini,
spending a few days in each. Coming back, we spent two days in London before returning to the states.
It was a wonderful time and unbelievably beautiful. We took over 1,000 pictures (thanks heavens
for digital cameras!) and have them on Flickr if anyone wants to see them.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone at the Reunion!
