Yes, I agree with Phil. Your foreground framing and focusing simply on the land with no sky works so well here, Jenene. This is makes my eye walk back and back and eventually climb the mountain.

The foreground elements are nicely framing the background, and adding some contrast. It is unusual to not have a sky in a lansdcape, but that works here.
This one works as well, primarily because of how you framed the saguaros and how they carry the eye back into the image, getting smaller and smaller as they recede into the distance. It also helps that you could fill the background with the side of a mountain, leaving the sky out of this altogether. A sky, unless it was very dramatic as in your recently posted panorama, can easily detract from a scene such as this. The solid background really helps this image work, Jenene.
