Ferrero 8 (Fe 8)
PN? G131.0+03.7

Ferrero 8 (Fe 8, PN? G131.0+03.7) Candidate Planetary Nebula in Cassiopeia. The bright star at
the bottom of the frame is HD 13035. This PN candidate was discovered by Laurent Ferrero in
October 2014. Taken over many nights in the fall and winter nights of 2014, 2015 and 2016. Imaged
with CCD Lab’s Q285M camera and a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 at f10, on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. The
OIII and H alpha subframes were 30 minutes binned 1x1 and 2x2, while the RGB subframes were 4
minutes binned 2x2, resulting in the following total exposures (HA):(R+Ha):(G+OIII):(B+OIII) (min)
= 960:(64+960):(64+360):(64+360). The OIII imaging was limited since it turned out to be too
faint for my system and/or location and no OIII was detected. This image is displayed at 0.57
arc-seconds per pixel. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated, sigma combined in Iris with other
processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
