PN G129.6+03.4

IPHASX J015624.9+652830 (Ferrero 6, PN G129.6+03.4) Planetary Nebula in Cassiopeia. The
bright blue star above the nebula is BD+64 263 (SAO 12045). This PN was spectroscopically confirmed
by Laurence Sabin in 2011 as part of the IPHAS survey. It was also independently discovered by the
amateur astronomer Laurent Ferrero in November 2013. Taken over several nights in Dec 2013 and Jan
2014. Imaged with CCD Lab’s Q285M camera and a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 at f10, on a Losmandy G11/Gemini
mount. The OIII and H alpha subframes were 20 and 30 minutes binned 2x2, while the RGB subframes were
4 minutes binned 2x2 resulting in the following total exposures (HA+OIII):(R+Ha):(G+OIII):(B+OIII)
(min) = (720+640):(52+720):(52+640):(52+640). This image is up-sampled from the original and
displayed at 0.57 arc-seconds per pixel. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated, sigma combined in
Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.

This planetary nebula has now been spectroscopically confirmed to be a true planetary nebula by the professional astronomer Laurence Sabin!

This is officially the first colour image of this amazing planetary nebula! Agnes Acker would be proud! It's odd that spherical planetary nebulae to me appear to be rare oddities whilst any deviation from sphericity is more visually acceptable.
