UGC 3697

UGC 3697, “Superthin” spiral galaxy type Sd:pec in Camelopardalis.. UGC 3697 has an axial ratio of
11.1 and has a prominent warp to it’s optical disk. Taken Jan. 23, 27, Feb 2 and Feb 3, 2011. Imaged
with CCD Lab’s Q285M and a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 at f10 on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. This

The L subframes were 8 minutes binned 1x1, while the RGB subframes were 2.5 minutes binned 2x2
resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B (min) = 328:55:55:55. Captured with Nebulosity,
calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS.
North is up.
