UGC 7170 & NGC 4147

UGC 7170 “Superthin” spiral galaxy type Scd (upper left center) and NGC 4147 globular cluster class
VI in Coma Berenices (lower right center). Taken Apr. 7, 8, 9 and 16, 2010. Imaged with CCD Lab’s
Q285M Camera and a C8N at f5 on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. The L subframes were 5 minutes binned
1x1, while the RGB frames were 3 minutes binned 1x1. The final total exposures were L : R : G : B
(min) = 240 : 60 : 60: 60. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with
final processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
