NGC 5846 type E & NGC 5850 type SBb, in Virgo. Also seen is NGC 5846A, type E-S0, just below the
nucleus of NGC 5846. Taken June 6, 7 and 8, 2007 with a DSI Pro II and Outback Cooler on a C8NGT (8"
Newtonian f5). LRGB subframes were 150 and 180 sec resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B
(min) = 180:97:83:110. Color balance was achieved via numerically scaled channels. Captured with
Envisage, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using FITZ, PixInsight LE and
Photoshop CS. North is up.
