M82 (Arp 337)

M82 (NGC 3034) Irregular type Ir-II, in Ursa Major. Taken Feb 13, Feb 15 and Feb 18, 2007 with a DSI
Pro II and Outback Cooler on a C8NGT (8" Newtonian f5). The transparency on all of these nights was
average to below average due to thin clouds and humidity. The Red channel used subframes of 2 and
2.5 min, while all other subframes were 2.5 min. Total exposure of L:R:G:B (min) = 140:63:68:55.
Color balanced via numerically scaled channels. Captured with Envisage, calibrated and sigma
combined in Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.

other sizes: small medium original auto
