Located at the lowest point in the complex in order to facilitate access from the city to a very hilly area, the main entrance was goint to be adorned with a monumental gate adorned with two deers that would be hidden when the gate was opened. This gate never got to be built and in its place a wooden gate was put unti, in 1965, part of the original gate from Casa Vicens was hung, a house designed by Gaudí in the neighbouring district of Gràcia. On either side of the entrance, the administration and the caretaker´s lodge, designed by Gaudí with surprising and evocative organic forms precede the courtyard, created to direct future residents to the different zones within the park.
