St. Jacob the Aposte's Church in Tarchomin district of Warsaw was built in the Vistula Gothic style at the beginning of the 16th Century - in 1518. This church is the oldest, continuously operating in Warsaw. In the 18th Century, Franciszek Maksymilian Ossolinski was the owner of Tarchomin village and religious administrator of the church. The interior of the church dates to this period of time, and next to the church there is a historic baroque bell tower from the 18th century.
In the neighborhood of St. Jacob the Apostle's church, there is Pius XI's court and the Warsaw-Praga Diocese's Seminary, where future priests study and pray. The court is a beautiful baroque building surrounded by a charming park. In the park, there is also an old baroque wooden manor house from the 17th century with a shingled mansard roof. Primate Stefan Wyszynski was a frequent guest here.
