Wooden Churches of the Slovak part of the Carpathian Mountains - Bodruzal

Slovakia

The wooden greek-catholic church of St. Nicholas in Bodruzal, was built in 1658 on the southern slope of the village.
It is log-constructed and covered with vertical planking, and sits on a stone foundation. It has the usual three chambers with a tower over the women's section. The hipped roof is topped with small onion-shaped spires and forged iron crosses.
The church has been reconstructed with the assistance of the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad. It's been named a natural cultural monument in Slovakia.
It is on the UNESCO Heritage list.

I would have been deceived for it to be a tribal house if you didn't say that it's a church. Amazing...V
