Fatuma binti Baraka aka Bi Kidude has died in Zanzibar on April 17th 2013, she was over 100 years old.
The singer's exact date of birth is not known, but she is believed to have been born in 1910.
She was a legendary and undisputed queen of Taarab and Unyago music.
Bi Kidude continued performing and touring until recently. She performed at Sauti za Busara music festival in Zanzibar in February 2013.
