The journey up the crater rim from Kibo Hut to Gilmans Point tests your mind and body. I started close to midnight, climbing the steep slope between giant bolders.
Reached the Gilman's Point at 7:00 AM.
It was a very rough challenge with freezing temperatures, lack of oxygen and some symptoms of high altitude sickness. I was quite dizzy on this walk up....
